  36. Briefly: Kermit is slow if you use the default tuning, which is designed to
  37. make it work "out of the box" even on very poor connections.  You can issue
  38. some simple commands to make it go as fast as the connection will allow,
  39. provided you have good Kermit software implementations on each end of the
  40. connection.
